Compiling the latest version of aria2 download manager on Raspberry Pi

Compiling aria2 from source on Debian :

  1. Download the latest upstream source archive from - http://packages.qa.debian.org/a/aria2.html
  2. Copy the archive to your RasPi and extract it.
  3. Now open a terminal and change directory to the the folder extracted above.
  4. Issue following commands one after another.
  5. sudo ./configure
  6. sudo make
  7. sudo make install
  8. This whole process will take a lot of time, so just leave it running.
