[Video] Microsoft Motion Sensing Keyboard With Hover Gesture Control Makes Mouse Obsolete

From cellphones to cars, glasses to watches - everything is getting smarter so why not a "Smart-Keyboard"? Well we do have one now - The research division at Microsoft has came up with something innovative which should make those tiring hands travel to grab mouse a thing of past, the motion-sensing keyboard lets users perform gesture based tasks like scrolling, zooming etc. by hovering over the keyboard just like a touchscreen. The Type-Hover-Swipe Keyboard utilizes a grid of hidden infrared motion sensors beneath keyboard keys, letting users perform hand gestures in a more natural position. The technology is fast and precise enough to recognize advanced commands like mimicking a steering wheel with your hands when playing a racing game as also demonstrated in the video shared below.

Looks like its difficult to use

"makes mouse control obsolete" ?
Someone is obviously not a power user... or a gamer.

This video, show also Microsoft engineers, prefer start menu ;)

It looks like you're stroking the keyboard, I have no idea how this would remotely be beneficial to gamers.
