iPhone Dev Team To Release 3G Software Unlock On New Year’s Eve

iPhone UnlockIf you are stuck with an unlocked iPhone 3G waiting for a software unlock from iPhone Dev Team, here is some good news for you, the iPhone Dev Team has announced that an software based unlock application similar to QuickPwn for iPhone 3G will get released on New Year’s Eve, however only users having iPhone 3G's with 2.11.07 or earlier baseband will able to get the unlocker working, the unlock requires jailbroken 3G iPhone and it will be installable via the Cydia installer, the 3G unlock project codenamed "yellowsn0w" by the Dev Team is complete now and currently being packaged into a user-friendly application waiting for the final release at New Year’s Eve as a gift to the iPhone community.

i have 2.0 firmware on my iphone. do i need to upgrade first my iphone 3G to 2.1 before i can unlock it? im getting tired of my locked fon. didnt have any applications installed

How do i downgrade?

Ok i have a white iPhone 3G 16 GB and i have the Version: 2.2 and Modem Firmware: 02.28.00 and i want to downgrade it to 02.11.07 is it possible? How do i do it? Does it affect the fone?
P.S i have a warranty on it

Baseband downgrade it's impossible, if you have 2.28 you cannot install another version. I'm in the same situation

is it possible to downgrade firmware form 2.28 to the previous version??
