Drones are in-vogue these days and here is yet another excellent crowd-funding project offering a camera drone which can not only stream live video and photo by connecting to your home wifi but also get controlled from anywhere in the world. Think Rook as a flying security camera which can monitor your baby/pet/nanny/family/home etc. from anywhere in the world, want to take a tour of your house while you are away - just control the drone using the remote mobile app and be free to check whether you turned off the stove, locked the front door, or where you left your wallet from anywhere in the world.

Utilizing drones for delivering stuff is nothing new, Domino's demonstrated and pitched their DomiCopter pizza delivery drone a few months ago, and now Amazon's CEO Jeff Bezos is promising half-hour shipping with "Amazon Prime Air" drone delivery service, but the question remains is this really a practical and viable solution?
