Nice image.

mac is a PC.

All Mac fanboys are pc fanboys.

Mac-unts ignore the facts. Windows fanboys think windows is PC.

Personally I am a hardware fanboy , run ubuntu, OSX & win7 , XP. ALL on the same hardware.
** My hardware P.C is better than any mac you can buy off the shelf.

you are wrong with the hardware side of things mac os x can not be run on windows hardware unless you break the law, patch and clone your harddrive which you need a mac for. there is other ways to do it but when i did it i nearly f#@k my pc up and i know what i am doing as well but your right for alot of other points it really just comes down to if you want a more reliable and over all better os or cheaper hardware.

I bought Mac OS X on a disc, from a shop. Legal
I installed it.

Apple cant complain. They allow installing Windows on their hardware, they even have software for you to do it.

""more reliable and over all better os or cheaper hardware""

I disagree with that statement.

I have a selection of OS's.
ALL are reliable, I have working drivers for all the OS's. ( 1 GPU and 6 usb3 ports on OSX wont work )
EACH OS has software that will only run on that OS, so each OS is better than the others in some way.

Better, more versatile hardware , the components are cheaper , OVERALL the setup has more value.

The Mac OS X EULA forbids installations of Mac OS X on a "non-Apple-branded computer".

Permitted License Uses and Restrictions.
A. Single Use License. Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, unless you have purchased a Family Pack or Upgrade license for the Apple Software,
you are granted a limited non-exclusive license to install, use and run one (1) copy of the Apple Software on a single Apple-branded computer at a time. You
agree not to install, use or run the Apple Software on any non-Apple-branded computer, or to enable others to do so....

Although its a legal purchased copy, installing on non-apple branded hardware is legally restricted.

Okie, its not illegal to buy the software and turn any PC into a MAC. Its also not illegal to duo boot from window to MAC or triple boot.

If you understand how to work with MAC then you should understand that Mac hardware are intel based. Mac O.S. are different cause they run with ox86 instead of what window runs. The hardware in MAC is very specific which is why you can not run MAC in certain PC. But you can manually write the kernal to accept small hardware changes.

Frankly if you do buy a MAC then you are a cu&t for wasting $1200 on a duo core and 2gb of RAM. But if your one step over mac and pc then you can triple boot on a $800 PC with the latest second gen i core and 4 to 6gb of RAM and be a cut above the rest

i am a software engineer .. i work with verity of platforms.
for $800 you can run (not the best) but a very very reasonable PC to meet your demands.
i run a triple boot as well.
