I have personally tested it and it works, it shows the GUI for a short time only, but Live messenger gets installed , check your Start Menu.

Windows Live Messenger 2009 full stand alone as you "proudly" show here its installing window should be 134MB.
How come this download is only 24.09MB???
Did you strip down the original full package and included some sort of SPAM???
No Spam...
The 134 MB packages is the whole Live suite of applications and this is just Windows Live Messenger.
You decide which one is crap :)
