i have followed below procedure, still i m not able get throughthis problem, please help me out

Click Start > Run > Type ’C:\(Tally 7.2 directory name)\Tally72.EXE C:\(Tally Data path)[space]/
then press enter
for Eg: c:\tally7.2\tally72.exe c:\tally7.2\data /
after pressing enter tally will get open and at company info screen press Ctrl + Alt + R then select the corrupt company.

You can recover your data.
1stly copy your old data into some other drive and the follow the steps..

Go the the tally data file and delete all the .TSF extension files.

And then try restarting tally...
n overwrite the company.

It works like charm..

the one in which i was working and another company is missing from the list of companies.

Can you please help me out how can i recover both the files.

Usally there are 19 companies, but now it is listing only 17 companies in the list of companies.

we just installed windows server 2008 r2, and tally keeps getting corrupted and restarting of the server is necessary which is not advisable. we cannot keep restarting the server for tally. i woulde like to ask, is there any incompatability issue with server 2008 and tally 9 erp? we have other applications in the network but it's working very well except for the tally, usually it will be ok and then slow and then stuck.

is there any way to fix this?
can we put another workstation in the network where the tally is fully installed and its database. i want the tally to be shared from that workstation not from the server to avoid frequent restart.

I am using a Tally ERP 9 silver single user edition release 1.16.Few day back my system was suffering with lots virus. I want to format my system that's why I surrender my license and take a direct back from Data folder without using a tally back option (I always do that and its always work very much).

Now I have reactive the same one but release is showing 1 gold. When I put my same data, which I had directly copy paste from previous data folder after that select the company then I am facing one error. Error flashing on window is {INCORRECT VERSION! DATA OF INCORRECT VER (2) CAN ONLY RUN VERSION (1)!}.
