where the HELL did they get these statistics.
Most likely a web page they designed to render quickly on safari and slow on other things.

Either way - safari is actually a bit crap to be honest.

Safari in pipe line for comparision between Internet Explorer Beta 8, Opera, Mozilla Fire fox. AFter use of it, I can vary the browser with others.

Opera is the world faster browsers. Mozile is best browser for downloading videos if flv install. and other browser were very slow and IE is very slow.

Those benchmarks are from Apple's site. I don't give a damn to any benchmarks especially from Apple. Only Real Time tests makes count to me.

Leave out Safari, I've used it and people who have used it also know compared to other browsers it's slow (Except it's faster than IE 7 )even their latest version 4.xx is slow. IE 7/8rc, Safari 4.xx and FF 3 faster than Opera is outrageous claim/statement. The latest version 10 build 1345 ( under development ) of Opera with their new PRESTO 2.2 engine is lot Faster and also snappier.

I can't believe that people think opera is fast. It's slow in my computer. Safari is terrible as well. But the worst is IE8 which is monstrously slow. Firefox is blazing fast and better than all of them. Firefox rules!.

i am using all web browsers but i think google chrome is best then others because very very fast and open your websites in a few moments i think you should use it and feel the real browser in world.

i use 'the world browser' for me its very quick and never hangs up.

FF3 is better compared to all others.. but you all might have different opinions based on your experience.. but this is out my testing and experience.. i am just a user .. and not a promoter or supporter for anything.. so you can take my words... if anyone have better solution, please let is out, i am open to all suggestion, provided it is true.. thanks!

I'm baffled about these browser stats? From all I've seen on the net,heard & read about the same "Top" 4 browsers. Opera is always last in speed,as well as other things. Safari is suppose to be the quickest for my OS which is windows XP home service pack 3. I've been using multiple browsers for a while & at this time I find that opera's latest version>which is not an official version yet.It's beta & I believe it's 10.0 ten? That is my default browser it's by far the fastest and I had stopped using it completely before because it wasn't interfacing well with,my space apps.,net flix and just all kinds of sites for whatever reasons but this new beta tester version so far has taken care of all the old bugs & it's just better for me in every respect!(knock on wood)

Most of you are fighting among yourself to prove that your browser seems to be the best browser.I don't have a broadband modem but i can surf perfectly and swiftly because of the
Google Chrome just check it out, you would be able to get it on Google website or just search for it
