While the official announcement of Mozilla Firefox 5 Final release is still not made, as happened in the past the Firefox 5 Final release build is already available on official Mozilla FTP servers, open to public access. The official scheduled date for Firefox 5 launch is after two days on 21st June, but the download is now online so nobody is stopping us to enjoy it before release date.

Final build for Mozilla's major update of their web-browser Firefox 4 will officially get revealed on 22 March, but as expected the build had already made it's way to Mozilla's official FTP servers and can be downloaded right now.

For users with the older version of the web-browser, Firefox 4 brings in lots of new features, the most notable being a completely revamped new streamlined user interface, enhanced performance, support for newest open Web technologies, hardware acceleration, jet-powered JaegerMonkey JavaScript engine, built-in Sync, restartless add-ons, and Panorama workspace management.

I am using Firefox 4 Beta 5 and it's noticeably faster than Firefox 3.6, Mozilla is working hard to further enhance the browser performance and a new nightly developer build is now available for download with faster "JägerMonkey JavaScript Engine". The new javascript rendering engine is the code-name for the new JIT being developed for Mozilla's JavaScript engine where Jaeger means "hunter" in German.

Firefox 4 Public Beta 5 is finally landed and can be downloaded from the direct links provided below, the latest beta build of upcoming major update to Firefox features a brand new “Firefox Menu Button” which will be replacing the Menu Bar saving screen estate coupled with other new features as listed below.

Firefox 4 is getting ready to take on the browser war to next level and public beta 2 of the application is now available for download, the new version now supports "App Tab" feature allowing users to have an permanent faviconed tab for websites, powered by the new Gecko 2.0 page-rendering engine the browser now supports even more CSS3 standards specifically "CSS Transitions".

The biggest advantage of open-source software is that developers are free to make changes to existing code and create completely customized version of the software, benefiting from the same "Project Pale Moon" is making Firefox faster by upto 25% on Windows platform by removing unwanted code (for most users) and optimizing it to benefit from latest CPU features making full use of enhanced instruction sets of newer CPUs.

To achieve it's faster Firefox build goal "Pale Moon" disables features like ActiveX and ActiveX scripting, Accessibility features, Parental controls, Javascript debugging support, crashreporter and automatic updater by design. Firefox 3.6 public download release will go live Thursday, January 21st at 9:30am PST as reported earlier but we now have access to the final build which you can download right now, as you might know Firefox developers have access to FTP servers having exclusive access to all builds - however, these are restricted and will end-up in access denied errors when trying to download anything for example try using this server - ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.6/. The good news is with a bit of tinkering we have got access to the final Firefox 3.6 build and you can download it right now using the link posted at the end of the post.

Official announcement from Mozilla has confirmed that Firefox 3.6 download will be made available to public from Thursday, January 21st at 9:30am Pacific Standard Time, an intro video by Mike Beltzner, Director of Firefox has also been put online featuring major new enhancements introduced in the latest version of the web-browser (watch video after the jump).

Apart from being 20% faster than Firefox 3.5, the new features include automated plug-in update scanner for better security, quick theming with Personas, accelerometer support and support for new web-standards.

Mozilla has posted very first mockups of Firefox 4.0 on Windows, the new mockups proposes two designs one including top-tabs similar to Google Chrome and the other one similar to existing design minus some buttons and new location bar, in both the designs the main aim seems pretty clear and that is to save some space, I hope the Google Chrome style made it to final release.
