Top Tip! Unlock And Hack Into A Windows PC With A Single Command

Adam Boileau, a security consultant from New Zealand released a utility to unlock a Windows PC in seconds bypassing the standard Login/Password requirement, The utility named "Winlockpwn" makes use of a vulnerability in Windows handling of Firewire port, the hacker needs to physically connect a Linux based computer to the victims Firewire port and execute a command in order to get unrestricted access to the victim's PC, The need of Firewire port and physical access to the computer makes the hack difficult to execute and less potent.
The hack was first demonstrated at a security conference in Sydney in 2006, but Microsoft seems not to taking this seriously and has not yet released a fix for this.

The only "good" thing about this utility not being a major threat (and probably why Microslop doesn't seem to take it too seriously), is that since a physical connection to the Windows PC being hacked is required, that makes it a bit more difficult to accomplish. I mean, how many hackers carry around a Linux computer with them when hacking into a system or network?

Yeah, firewire had a very odd DMA thing going on, where in certain conditions can have full access to RAM, any OS is vulnerable to attacks of this type unless they implement things to restrict (read: slow down) the access. And to the person who last commented, what else would hackers carry around when walking in the front door of a company? And have you every heard of the eeePC, do you know how easy that is to tuck in a large pocket or under your belt?

i have seen this trick on net its not so........cool
best thing is you goto piratebay.org and download ERD commander that will allow you to enter into desktop without entering password and there u can easily change urs password or use "offline password recovery tool" but this is bit tricky to handle
