Great job, Thanks!

Dear Deepesh,
How are you doing?

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. This service seems to be fake and sounds as though "the founder" is simply collecting the e-mail addresses from people.

It as always been showing "Less than 950 free accounts left." to make the people feel hurry to enter their e-mail address.

I recommend you to please take the post down to keep up the reputation of your blog.

Great article Deepesh. The DNS option is better than using a VPN regarding content streaming because you can achieve direct connection with the media station ex. Netflix and avoid the “middle-man”. Personally, I am using UnoTelly which is similar to Smarty DNS. Perhaps you should check UnoTelly as well if you haven’t done so.

Hello Vasuki,

We are really sorry if we've done something to make you unsafe when entering your email on our site. We will not share your or anyone's email with third party in any circumstances and will use just for SmartyDNS newsletters. The number of remaining free accounts is updated manually once a day and if you entered our site at least two days you could see it was changing.
Anyway, if you, or anybody else have any doubds is welcome to email us on info@smartydns.com and we'll answer each email.

Best regards,
Vlad B. SmartyDNS

Update:-

They increased the free users limit from 1000 to 2000..

Thanks, tried this and here's what i think

First i got a free trial to test it and see how valid their claims are about unblocking restricted content.
Registration was easy and setup was within minutes,

Found that it works great with Hulu free and Netflix trial and that it is true about what they claim to unblock restricted sites. It also worked really well on BBC iPlayer. Their pretty much the free services i was able to test it on. They claim it will also unblock other sites such as crackle, amazon prime video, Syfy, Vudu, HBO Go, CWTV now and more but all of these are paid services.

The most feature i liked was ability to watch abc through their iPad app "Watch ABC" and also using the iPad app for Crackle. I had to change the DNS setting on my iPad to be able to stream content. I found it better than using a VPN as speeds are variable when using VPN to stream content. The video's streamed perfectly with SmartyDNS with no delay and the video quality was acceptable. The content on crackle is abit outdated but if you into old movies and TV series from the last decade and early 2000 then you wont have a problem.

I also noticed that it doesnt slow down you internet connection. I have the TPG unlimited ADSL2+ plan and their was no lag in streaming content from Hulu and iPlayer.

It meets expectations and does exactly what they say it will do.
Hope they keep up with their great service.

That’s a good article . I personally prefer UnoTelly. It’s similar to unblock-us Smarty DNS but they offer a DNS server close to physical location and I can achieve better performance.
