NHAI FASTag E-Toll Collection Rolls Out All Over India, 10% Cashback On Toll Charges...

The National Highway Authrority Of India (NHAI) debuted their "RFID Electronic Toll Collection" system FASTag on selected few toll-palazas almost 2 years ago, the same has now been extended to 275 toll-booths across nation.

A FASTag is a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag affixed on the windscreen of your vehicle which allows automatic toll payments directly from the prepaid account linked to it. The system allows users to drive through toll plazas offering near non-stop movement of vehicles through toll plazas and the convenience of cashless payment of toll fee with nation-wide interoperable Electronic Toll Collection Services.

How to apply for FASTag Scheme....

A user can purchase FASTags at participating toll-plazas as listed above, besides this NHAI has also partnered with sale and recharge of FASTags with Axis Bank and ICICI Bank; more banks and wallet services should get added soon. One needs to buy the tag for one-time charge of Rs 200/- with a minimum recharge of Rs 100/- and maximum recharge limit being Rs 1 lakh, in multiples of 100.

To make adoption of the scheme faster, Govt. has decided to offer a 10% cashback on recharges done in financial year 2016-17 to FASTags users.

The list of toll plaza's enabled with Fasttag is a big lie. I have traveled to Vijayawada this weekend(on 26th of April) and none of the toll plazas are active with Fasttag. All those lanes are either closed with barricades or being operated as regular counters with cash. I heard the operators saying, it might take an another year to get those lanes working.

If that is the case at your place, I wold strongly suggest you share it here - , with a receiptive and responsive PMO - I am 100% sure your concern will be taken care of.
