One of the first thing any advanced user should do after installing Android on their mini-pc is to install an SSH Server to enable remote-access from a computer for faster and easier tweaking, one can simply opt for an free SSH Server app from Google Play like SSHelper for a no frill, click-n-install SSH access to your Android box. However, if you prefer a GUI-less access with FULL-ROOT privileges from both WinSCP and Putty follow the tutorial shard ahead.

WinSCP is an excellent free GUI client for sFTP (Secure FTP) protocol on Windows, however the same is not available on Apple Mac OS X platform. Also, there are not many free frontend clients for OpenSSH's sftp/scp protocls on Apple Mac OS X, from the very limited options "Fugu SSH" takes the crown for being the best. Fugu provides a friendly, intuitive graphical user interface to the text-based Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) client that comes built-in with Mac OS X, featuring user-friendly options like secure drag-and-drop file transfers, remote file editing and remote file preview. Fugu allows you to take advantage of SFTP's strong encryption without having to sacrifice ease of use. Additionally, Fugu can make secure file transfers using Secure Copy (SCP), and can create SSH tunnels to faciliate secure interaction between machines.

Being a server administrator requires some good tech skills as you face various scenarios requiring not-so-commonly used solutions, few days ago I faced a similar situation where a certain directory was needed to be skipped from regular WHM/cPanel backups. Luckily WHM/cPanel do provide a simple cpbackup-exclude.conf file which can be edited to exclude files and directories from the backup job, all that needs to be done is to input and save paths to items to be excluded via Shell/WinSCP.

Putty and WinSCP are two most popular free tools to work with Secure Shell (SSH), I have used both the tools occasionally for past few years but for some reason started to received "Access Denied" errors with "Using Keyboard-Interactive Authentication" prompt as I tried everything to make sure I am using the right login and password combination but nothing worked.
