While the browser war gets hotter after every new release claiming to be the worlds fastest web-browser, a new free online service from Futuremark suitably named PeaceKeeper lets users benchmark web-browsers allowing them to compare scores on their systems.

Opera Labs is doing some extra-ordinary research in terms of new web-browser features and after introducing Opera Turbo they seem to have gone too far with experimenting introducing face gestures in the latest snapshot builds of Opera 10, the concept of controlling your web-browser with facial expressions sounds pretty cool but after seeing the video demo with man making funny faces to control the web-browser, I decided to stick with keyboard and mouse combination for a while, jokes apart the technology seems promising considering the evolution of touch devices where such functionality can be handy, I am very much sure that Opera will tweak this facial-gesture technology further to create something useful.

After a long time Apple is now back with a fresh new update of its Safari web-browser for Windows and Mac, sticking to their claim of being the world's fastest web-browser the latest version Safari 4 Beta further improves on the speed using the new Nitro Rendering Engine.

The new version features top-sites, cover flow, full history search, tabs on tops, native Windows look and feel and set of development tools as described in details below.

Opera released Beta 2 of their upcoming Opera 9.5 web-browser for public download, Opera is the most feature rich web-browser out-of-the-box, and Opera 9.5 is coming with another much sought after feature - inbuilt Anti-malware protection from Haute Secure (A well known community based malware database), Firefox 3 is the only other browser to have in-built anti-malware protection but it uses data from Google and StopBadware for blocking malicious webpages before it loads on your browser.
