Fixing the "Charging is not supported with this accessory" error on Apple iPhone

Apple has always tried restricting users to their closed "Premium eco-system" where smaller things like "cables" and "connectors" are highly-charged and users are tried to stop from using cheaper alternatives, hackers have always got their way around these limitations like "This Accessory Is Not Made To Work With iPhone" error while using cheaper third-party non-Apple A/V cable's. I faced a similar issue recently when my iPhone started displaying error "Charging is not supported with this accessory" and refused to get charged despite being using a genuine Apple iPhone cable !!

New redesigned Apple iPad 3, iPhone and MacBook Pro to be revealed soon...

Apple ended the rumor-mill and disappointed their fans when they unveiled the Apple iPhone 4S giving the much anticipated iPhone 5 a miss, the rumors are once again hot after iLounge reported according to their most reliable source that the next generation iPad 3, iPhone (probably iPhone 5) and Macbook Pro will be redesigned.

According to iLounge :

(1) The third-generation iPad will become modestly thicker (0.7mm) in order to accommodate the twin light bar system needed for its higher-resolution display. It’s currently on track for a March timeframe release, and according to our source could be publicly shown as early as January, depending on conditions.

(2) Our source says that the next-generation iPhone will not look like the teardrop-shaped version that was widely rumored for release in 2011. We’ve been told that the device will have a 4-inch display and will be 8mm longer than before, with a metal casing (probably aluminum). It is on track to be introduced in summer of 2012, and is still in the engineering phase, not early production. We suspect that poor battery life doomed the prior prototype version, and that this one is being built with LTE-ready battery drain in mind.

(3) Barring some huge and unexpected issue, 2012 will be the year when the MacBook Pro line gets its new design. Think thinner.

Lets hope Apple does something really exciting this time and not their usual "cult marketing gimmick" - http://www.megaleecher.net/Funny_Video_On_iPad_2_By_Conan_O_Brien.

Siri Can Make Calls From A Locked iPhone

Siri is definitely the most sought-after and talked about feature of Apple's new iPhone 4S smartphone, the virtual voice-assistant can make calls from a locked screen also when a pass-code is required to unlock the device. This is no security-flaw but is by design and can be disabled as demoed next.

While "Siri" - the Apple iPhone 4S voice-recognition virtual assistant, would be one of the most promising new feature of this new mobile device the iPhone 4S also greatly boosts the hardware specs when compared to the older iPhone 4 models.

While application launching is a basic task that doesn't show off the real potential of this new hardware's high-performance graphics and other capabilities, it is without a doubt "the most used" task when using a smart-phone. Here is an extensive video comparison between Apple iPhone 4S Vs iPhone 4 giving a good picture of the everyday performance improvements one should expect between the two devices.

Smarter Cloud Based Google Translate 2.2 For Android Now Comes With Speech-To-Speech Translation Between 14 Languages

Google TranslateWhile Apple iPhone 4S featured some clever marketing done for their "virtual assistant" software-bot "Siri" but only time will tell how practical the solution will be for common-users specially when it comes to non-native US-English accents. To counter the iPhone 4S feature (Siri) Google has now released the latest version of "Google Translate For Android App" featuring an intelligent and practical feature of "Speech-to-speech" translation between 14 languages to overcome the language barrier, although not exactly similar to "Siri" the technology can be extended further having advantage of multi-accent Google's Voice Recognition technology.

Google Translate

The new Conversation Mode allows a user to speak into their phone’s microphone in their native language, and the Translate app will translate and readout the translation loud - the person you’re speaking with can then reply in their language, and Conversation Mode will translate what they said and read it back to you. The "Google Translate Android App 2.2" now supports translation between English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Polish, Russian and Turkish languages - a video demonstration of this new feature is posted below.
